GREETINGS  PAL CHEERLEADING FAMILIES:

Great News!

PAL has formed the 2013 Cheerleading Board within the Westport PAL Football Program.
Employing the core PAL philosophy of commitment and teamwork, our new coaches will give the girls a foundation that will eventually prepare them for high school cheerleading.

“A team comprises a group of people linked in a common purpose.  A group in itself does not necessarily constitute a team.  Team members need to learn how to help one another, help other team members realize their true potential, and create an environment that allows everyone to go beyond their limitations”.

Overseen by Avery Watson, the Staples High School Cheerleading coach, the girls will learn age-appropriate skills based on the high school program.

Some of the changes we are planning:

  • Working with Staples High School Coaches and Cheerleaders
  • Developing necessary tumbling skill
  • Increasing practice days from 1 to 2 for Juniors and Seniors (5th-8th Grade)
  • Traveling to cheer at both home and away games in Fairfield County
  •

REGISTRATION AND SEASON INFORMATION WILL BE PROVIDED SOON.
