Welcome Cheerleading Families to PAL Fall Cheerleading 2018!

After great success last year, we are excited to welcome you back to Fall Cheerleading (open to cheerleaders in grades 2-8).

Westport PAL is a volunteer youth organization mostly run by dedicated parents who lend their valuable time each week.  We are always encouraging parents to get involved and help make a difference in their child's experience.

Westport PAL 2018 Cheer Season
Registration: $300
Grades: 2-8
Westport PAL cheer is open to grades 2nd-8th.  We will field two teams, Bantam and Jr/Sr.  These teams will practice together during their two weekly practices on Monday and Friday, 4-5:30pm at Saugatuck Elementary School. Each team will cheer for one football game per weekend. (Saturday or Sunday)  We make every effort to cheer for a home game (at Saugatuck Elementary or Staples High School).  The schedule for the season will be released at the beginning of the football season, once all games have been scheduled.
Two-day Cheer Camp: August 16 & 17th, 3:30-5:30pm.
Cheer camp is a great opportunity for team building and work on tumbling, cheers and dance routine before the season gets started.
Cheer Practice: Beginning on Monday, August 20th, we will have cheer practice every Monday and Friday 4-5:30pm.
Cheer Uniforms: Will be borrowed from Westport PAL with a $100 deposit for the season.
Information on accessories and picture day will be provided at the first day of cheer camp.
Please contact Joanna Mitchell if you have any further questions.

Uniforms and Logowear
Uniforms will be provided to all participants. Cheerleaders order their own pom poms and boy shorts.
For the girls to show their team spirit and to help support the program, there are several items available to order from our logowear fundraiser.

Pom Poms are available by emailing Joanna Mitchell at scmitchells@yahoo.com.
Boy shorts and logowear are available from ASF Outdoors at:

Medical Forms are needed by the first day of practice or your daughter will not be permitted to participate. Please bring her form to practice and give it to her coach. If she cheered for Westport PAL in the fall season and her medical form is still valid, you do not need to submit a new one.

Cheerleading is one of the most rewarding sports (YES!! it is a sport!). It can be a great experience for your child. It teaches discipline, strength, responsibility, accountability, friendship and self worth.

We are so thrilled to be working with your girls this season.
