PAL youth athletic programs are dedicated to enriching the lives of young people through track and field.
Our goal is to provide each athlete with an opportunity for personal achievement.
The Fall Track and Fitness program will have an emphasis on general strength and fitness for the young athlete.
The program will introduce a series, exercises and age-appropriate goals in a relaxed setting. Drills are commonplace in the sport of track and field.
Our program Coach is Jesse McCray who is the Head Coach for Staples High School Girls Track and Field. All participants will have the chance to interact with current members of Staples Track and Field athletes as they lead them through drills.
We will address the following;
Dynamic warm-up and preparation | Introduction of basic running drills and mechanics
Aerobic and Anaerobic conditioning | Hip mobility stations and sensory hops, jump circuits and general strength
This is a great program for young athletes with an interest in the sport, fitness training in a relaxed setting, and current competing track athletes.
Since the inception of the program, several participants have been great contributors to the Staples High varsity program. Many have gone on to become FCIAC Conference champions, State Champions, and New Balance and Nike National Qualifiers.
The fall sessions will start on August 25th and continue through November 3rd

Training Gear: Athletes will need:
Running shoes | Sweatpants or Leggings, Long sleeve tops | Water bottle
We will provide a competition top for all participants.

*** The Field House will be used in case of outdoor scheduling conflicts***
Cost: $180.00
The schedule is subject to change should there be any conflict with Staples High School Varsity programming.
